Brian Youngblood has been involved with Intellitours for a number of years, but recently joined the team officially. Youngblood has programmed computers for over 13 years. In the late 1990s, he installed and supported various networks and telecommunications equipment for Auburn University in Montgomery. Before joining IntelliTours, Youngblood was the IT manager for the Southern Poverty Law Center. He was also the Technical Lead for Tolerance.org, a two-time winner of a coveted Webby award for best activist website. Prior to his work there, he worked with the Intelligence Project at SPLC where he tracked hundreds of hate groups online. He has been interviewed by Wired, CNN and various other online and print publications about his work. In 2000, he testified in front of the New Jersey Commission of Investigation. His testimony was included in the Computer Crime report published by the Commission of Investigation and the Attorney General of New Jersey. His knowledge of computer programming and electronics is best described by saying; he is the person behind the scenes making it sing and dance. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking and brewing beer. |
